Scientist Interviews For Your
Major & Research
The first step in research is deciding what to study and why. This site collects my conversations with scientists from different professions to help address some of the questions you could have if you're facing problems in research:
1. What made you choose your field, and who helped you choose it?
2. What kind of attitude should scientists have, and how do you uncover new problems that are important?
3. What results have shaped your career, what challenges have you encountered, and how have you turned those results into impact?
4. How does AI (machine learning or LLMs) fit into your research right now?
5. What should we do about Short-Termism in the scientific world?
And other questions about specific projects of scientists!
Each conversation provides useful advice based on the valuable research experiences of those scientists, aiming to help you move forward with your own scientific study. I have divided the scientists' answers into sections based on the questions in the interview section to compare different viewpoints. Hope this roadmap can help you to figure out what research you want to do!
